The Person Behind the Clean
My name's Aaliyah, I’m the person behind Neat & Tidy Co. — a solo independent cleaner who genuinely loves what I do.
I’ve always been a bit of a yes girl. I love helping people, taking on a challenge and walking into a space that needs some attention and figuring out where to start.
For me, cleaning isn't about rushing through a checklist just to say the job is finished. I care about doing things properly and making the most of the time booked, focusing on the areas that will make the biggest difference to your home.
I genuinely love making spaces work better
Cleaning and organising have always been something I naturally enjoy. Every few months, you'll probably find me rearranging my own home because I've decided there must be a better way for the space to flow.
I love moving things around, finding better ways to organise a space and thinking about how a room could work better. I'm naturally drawn to organisation, flow and feng shui, and I think that's a big part of why I enjoy cleaning so much.
I'm always looking at a space thinking:
“How could this work better?”
I love the before-and-after, but more than that, I love knowing I've taken something off someone's plate.
Cleaning without judgement
Life gets busy. Things pile up. Sometimes you simply don't have the time or energy to keep on top of everything — and that's okay.
I'm not coming into your home to judge how it got there. I'm there to help.
Whether you need regular maintenance to keep things under control, a more detailed custom clean, or a proper reset through one of my Friday Project Cleans, I'll work with you to figure out where your time is best spent.
A personal approach
As a solo independent cleaner, I'm the person you get. I get to know my clients, their homes and the way they like things done.
I also believe that doing good work means being realistic about what can be achieved. I don't believe in promising an unrealistic amount just to get a booking. I'd rather be honest, communicate clearly and make sure I can give your home the attention it deserves.
My regular clients are important to me. My approach is about looking after their homes throughout the year, rather than trying to complete every possible task during every visit. With regular maintenance, the more detailed cleaning can naturally build into your home over time.
A little about my journey
I started cleaning professionally on the Sunshine Coast in 2022, where I built my client base largely through word of mouth and repeat clients.
A couple of years later, I moved out west to Cecil Plains and the Darling Downs region. That meant rebuilding my local clientele from the ground up.
Along the way, I've continued developing my skills and knowledge, learning from experience, networking with other business-minded people in the industry and growing into the cleaner and business owner I am today.
So while my online presence is still growing, the experience behind it isn't new.
